Pet: Skipper

Skipper is an adorable eight-month old, female Medium F-1 Goldendoodle. Born in Mocksville, NC on the birthday of the Marine Corps, Skipper is naturally patriotic, and she is particularly proud of her Dad, Spencer, who is currently active-duty and has served in the USMC for nine years.
“Skipper is special because her dad has waited 32 years for the time to be right to finally get a dog of his own,” says Allison. “She has an innate desire to do what is being asked of her and works very hard to understand through communication barriers. Her sweet demeanor, loving temperament, and adorable antics have made her a dream to raise and she has enhanced her parents’ lives enormously.”
Goldendoodles are well-known for being very sociable, and Skipper loves walks to the Bruin (with her parents, of course, since she’s underage still) and getting pets from strangers. She even makes surprise appearances at Junior League of Greater New Bern events!
Riding in the car is a special treat for Skipper and she enjoys sticking her head out the car window and trying to eat the air. She loves to play hide and seek with her toys, and giving high fives, shakes, and presenting her belly for scratches. The most impressive thing she has mastered is ringing a smart bell on the door when she needs to go to the bathroom!
Skipper’s dad, Spencer, is originally from Florida, but moved to North Carolina courtesy of the Marine Corps. Mom, Allison, is from Pine Level, NC, but has called New Bern home for the last 10 years.
