Pet: Romeo Montague
Owners: Dodi and Frank Kline
Romeo is a two year-old Shih Tzu. The Shih Tzu is a tiny little toy dog breed originating from Tibet, and the breed itself is over a thousand years old—even living in royal palaces! Their big dark eyes will steal your heart, and their playful and loving personality make them a favorite breed for small dog lovers. Their full time job is to look cute and act adorable.
Romeo loves to play with his pet parents and his favorite game is chasing leaves, and playing fetch (although he isn’t particularly good at returning the ball)! He has a play-date buddy too—a pug named Beau—and they are the best of friends.
So why is this little pup so special? “All one needs to do is look at him! He is adorable, sweet, and a lover. Hence the name Romeo,” says him pet-mom Dodi.
Romeo weighs in at a hefty 10 pounds, probably because he loves to eat scrambled eggs.
Dodi and Frank moved to New Bern in 2008; Dodi enjoys making quilts and playing the piano and Frank enjoys golfing and boating. Both adore their little pup and love spending time with him.
