The award-winning fall festival, MumFest, is kicking off a month-long celebration in historic Downtown New Bern beginning on September 29 with our feasting in the streets event, MumFEAST. Next in the lineup is the main event, MumFest, on October 14-15. Finally, we will have the much-anticipated MumFest Concert, featuring Sugar Ray on October 21.
At MumFEAST on Friday, September 29, the streets in downtown New Bern will be closed to vehicular traffic, so pedestrians can enjoy an evening of outdoor dining, live music, food trucks, and local shopping from 5:00pm – 10:45pm.
During MumFest on October 14-15, we welcome over 200 hundred vendors, including 30 food vendors, nearly 20 musical acts, spectacular entertainment with BMX stunts, Dog Shows, and Trampoline performers—as well as carnival rides and games!
The layout for MumFest has been freshened up with three stages, two on Middle, as well as the Miller Lite Beer Garden stage at Pollock and Craven. This year you can enjoy some beer and listen to music right in the heart of downtown—then shop until you drop!
The tremendously exciting month is going out with a bang at the MumFest Concert featuring none other than Sugar Ray on October 21 at Lawson Creek Park! Opening acts include local favorites The Bonafides and Bridge Atlantic, and The Shakedown from Raleigh! Tickets are available on our website at Mumfest.com or Etix.com. VIP seating is available again this year and includes the best view of the stage, a delicious buffet, private tables and seating as well as unlimited drinks! Don’t miss it!
The organizers of the festival are keeping us all safe with a touchless festival program available through QR codes on signs throughout the festival.
Free remote parking and shuttle service is provided by the City of New Bern from Lawson Creek Park to the MumFest entrance at Broad and Hancock. The shuttle runs Saturday, October 14 from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm and Sunday, October 15 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Downtown streets close 5pm on Friday, October 13 through 8pm Sunday October 15. All cars must be off the streets before 5pm Friday (10/13).
