Owner: Michael and Catherine Tahaney
Pet: Finn
Finn is an absolutely adorable mini cockapoo – which is a mix of a poodle and a cocker spaniel and is also known as a cockapoodle. This breed is known for being extremely affectionate and accepting of all people and all animals, and is popular due to being small enough to be easily manageable with a big dog personality.
As the much-loved pet of Michael and Catherine Tahaney, Finn is an 18 month old boy that is playful, people-centric and loyal. This little guy has lots of energy and enthusiasm for strangers but he likes to stay close to his pet-parents. “Finn is definitely a companion dog,” says Michael. “He stays at my feet all day long, which is very comforting. He loves being close to Catherine and I. Although he is a small dog, he is not yippy, and although he is a pretty boy, he is still a hearty little guy that can hold his own when playing with bigger dogs. He’s very confident. And he’s single, but he’s not looking for anything more than companionship.”
Finn loves to play fetch and chase anything that squeaks, like balls and toys. He is also masterful with doggie puzzles, and delights in finding treats under the little sliding doors. He also provides protection against squirrels that might try to take over the yard. In the summer, he enjoys kayaking and swimming.
This special little pup can also stand up and walk on his hind legs for quite a long time…but typically not on command. Maybe if he was offered up his favorite snack – which is cheese – he might stand up and pay attention!
“He has us well-trained for his needs and his schedule. We are loving pet-parents, and his personality raises the level of love in the house. He brings out a happiness and warmth in us,” says Michael. “He is the best snuggler ever and a great little cuddle buddy.”
