Event Series Event Series: Special Needs Baseball of New Bern

Special Needs Baseball of New Bern

May 3 @ 9:30 am

Founded in 2003 through the power of community and prayer, Special Needs Baseball of New Bern has flourished into a vibrant program that empowers athletes of all ages and abilities. Through baseball, players build confidence, discover their potential, and experience the joy of the game in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The league was founded by Jay Bucksot, inspired by his son Jacob’s journey and the need for an inclusive program in the community. What began as a father’s dedication to his son has blossomed into a thriving league that celebrates abilities, fosters personal growth, and provides a place where every player feels valued. Over the years, many athletes have reached personal milestones, formed lasting friendships, and found a true sense of belonging…both on and off the field.

Special Needs Baseball of New Bern is more than just a league—it’s a community where athletes, families, and volunteers come together in fellowship to celebrate perseverance, teamwork, and the pure joy of baseball.
