Boston’s own Billboard-charting quartet, Sons of Serendip, won the hearts of fans and judges alike as finalists on “America’s Got Talent” in 2014 with emotionally stirring interpretations of pop music, arranged with a unique blend of vocals, harp, piano, and cello. Serendipity brought these four friends together in graduate school at Boston University but talent, dedication, and a desire to share their music with the world rocketed them to fame.
The Sons of Serendip redefine classical crossover. Kendall Ramseur, a former cello instructor from Charlotte, NC, is cellist, singer-songwriter and composer; Cordaro Rodriguez, a former attorney from Charlotte, NC is pianist and guitarist; Mason Morton, a former teacher from Atlanta, GA, is the harpist; and Micah Christian, a former teacher from Randolph, MA is lead vocalist for the group. Together they create music that fans describe as “mesmerizing”, “healing and restorative”, “silky beyond reason”, “compelling and transformative.”
