In a small American town, the Wilmertown Community Theatre is preparing a production of Oscar Wilde’s “An Ideal Husband.” But with a tiny budget, memory-challenged actors, internal disarray and a stage manager who’s losing it, it will take a miracle to get the play together. Bigger than life characters and antics abound from the start through to a catastrophic opening night, yet theater somehow survives… barely. Join our Saax Bradbury Teen Players as they perform this laugh-out-loud, behind-the-scenes comedy exposing what possibly happens at some non-professional theatre rehearsals far, far from NBCT. Bill Cissna is a North Carolina playwright and author. We are pleased to present his work on our Athens mainstage.
