The public is invited to join as part of the Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, along with Colonial Capital Humane Society, to find homes for local pets at a community event with food trucks and giveaways.
WHAT: Riverside Subaru is donating $100 for each pet adopted from Colonial Capital Humane Society, the only no kill shelter in Craven County, during the month of October* – and to help promote donations, they’re transforming their showroom and outdoor area for an in-person adoption event to help find loving homes for local animals. The event will include many pets to adopt and local food trucks, giveaways and more. The event, part of the Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, is free and open to the community and their pets. In addition to monetary donations, Riverside Subaru has committed to donate 100 dog toys and 20 new pet parent kits, which include essentials such as leashes, toys, bags, travel bowls and more.
Riverside Subaru has partnered with Colonial Capital Humane Society for the past several years as part of their year-round commitment to support the local community, known as the Subaru Love Promise, including additional partnerships with West Craven Middle School, Boys and Girls Club Southeastern NC, Carolina East Cancer Center and more. According to the ASPCA, nearly 6.3 million animals enter shelters each year. Since 2020, Subaru and its retailers have helped over 106,000 shelter pets find loving homes. This year, more than 600 participating Subaru retailers across the country are joining forces with local shelters, rescues and organizations to help find loving homes for animals.
