Exhibit on display October 1-November 18
The Watercolor Society of North Carolina will be having the Annual Conference and Annual Meetings on October 1-2 in New Bern. The artists from all over the state will have seminars, meetings, get-togethers, and awards presentations.
The weekend will culminate in the Annual Juried Exhibition on Sunday. This exhibition will feature works by local watercolor artists on wide array of subjects in a variety of styles. The exhibit will feature 80 paintings from members of the WSNC from across the state chosen by juror Don Andrews. Andrews is a nationally known watercolor artist and workshop instructor. He is an active member and past board president of the American Watercolor Society.
The exhibition will run from October 1-November 18. The exhibition will then travel to the Durham Arts Council to run from December 2 – January 13.
Coming to New Bern is exciting for the Watercolor Society members. It will be the first time that the members will meet in-person since 2019. As President Peggy Saporito put it “I am so looking forward to seeing and meeting our present members and welcoming all our new members attending the WSNC Annual Juried Exhibition and Conference in New Bern.”
