Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the New Bern Historical Society together with 130 years of Pepsi – that’s a winning combination! We’re going to catch the Pepsi spirit with a look back at Pepsi-Cola’s history from its “Born in the Carolinas” roots right here in New Bern in 1893. Join us on Wednesday, May 3 as none other than the Pepsi-Cola Company Historian, Bob Stoddard, will chauffeur us on this nostalgic trip on the wayback machine. Stoddard will share insights into the company’s early bankruptcies, the challenges brought on by World War II, and the success achieved with the introduction of the Pepsi Generation advertising campaign in 1964. He will also delve into some lesser-known topics — the importance of the 12-ounce bottle in the Pepsi-Cola story, Joan Crawford’s involvement with the Pepsi-Cola Company, and more!
Tickets: $10.
