Community Artists Gallery & Studios

Spring has sprung with “ Natures Palette” at Community Artists Gallery. Our featured artists are Janet Draper; Pastel artist , Betty Knapp; watercolor and Bob Forbes; Glassblower. “Emerging Artists” is Ben Lindemann.
Music will be provoded by “Dan Jam”, Dan Phillips & Co. Hits from the 70’s.
Janet Draper is a pastel artist. Her favorite subjects are landscapers, flowers, and Ocracoke beaches.
Betty Knapp explores different mediums, her work centers on botanicals, particularly in watercolor. She loves to paint in plein air(outside) or from photography.
Bob Forbes has many talents; photography, pottery, stained glass and his new passion is glassblowing. He displays vases, suncatchers, paperweights, bowls, all unique sculptural pieces and one of a kind.
The “ Emerging artist” Ben Lindemann was trained in digital photography and has recently developed his drone skills in New Bern making aerial films and still photographs of historic sites, landscapes and water front panorama. His work is displayed in the upstairs Studio Annex. Our Community Outreach Program has a 5th grade Spring Photography Competition “Flowers”. All images must be taken using a cell phone.
