Community Artists Gallery will show its “Colours “ in October by celebrating ArtWalk. Our featured Artists are Eileen Wroe and Mary Phelps; painters, also Ann Marie Hodrick; jewelry. The “ Emerging Artist” for October is Clifton Baker, digital abstract works. His works are on display in our upstairs Studio Annex. The program is implemented by CAGS and partially funded by NC Arts Council “Grassroots Arts” program.
“Great News !” Three of our artists, Karen Schaaf, Belinda Scheber and Mary Phelps have been juried into the NC Watercolor Society Show on display from October 2nd to November 15th at the Craven Arts Council.
Eileen Wroe has been inspired to paint with oils. She has studied with Lois Griffel and Susan Sarbach, followers of Charles Hawthorne, founder of the Cape Cod School of Art.
Mary Phelps began her artistic career as a decorative painter and now paints in oil and watercolor. Her new passion is abstract watercolor painting. She has just been juried into the NC Watercolor Society.
Ann Marie Hodrick founded “Hearts Desire Jewelry”, she uses high quality stone and organic elements to create her jewelry.
