Community Artist Gallery will feature “ After the Rain” with Spring on its way. The Artists of the Month are; Alex Holton: oil Painter, Janet Hikes: watercolor artist and Jim Karl: woodworker. Music will be provided by Brant Island Strings.
Jim Karl has always loved working with wood. Solving and creating requires you to work with rough cut or live edge wood. It is perfect for his engineering brain.
Janet Hicks has been painting in watercolor, acrylic and pastel for years. Painting insists that the Artist look closely at the work, to record the beauty that surrounds us.
Alex Holton, Musician and Artist. He has been a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra at Lincoln Center since 1977. He has sketched musicians and the streets of NYC. He won a prize at Quick Paint at 2022 Plein Air in New Bern. He is a member of Coastal Carolina Plein Air Painters.
Chase Bisson is the new “Emerging Artist” at CAGS. His work is displayed in the upstairs Studio Annex.
