Community Artist Gallery and Studios

The featured artists at Community Artist Gallery and Studios (CAGS) for June 2024 are Heidi Lock, Betty Knapp and Karen Buglovsky.
Heidi Lock loves to work in oil or acrylic paints, focusing mainly on landscapes. Heidi draws her inspiration from eastern North Carolina’s scenic beauty of marshlands, seascapes and Spanish moss.
Betty Knapp has a B.A. in fine arts and an M.A. in art therapy. While she continues to explore different mediums, Betty’s beautiful work centers on botanicals, particularly in watercolor.
Karen Buglovsky combines art and fashion to create her amazing collection of hand-crafted handbags, wallets and cards. Each is an original piece, which can be personally tailored to each person’s specific design request if desired.
In June, the CAGS front window features artists’ works under the theme “Summer Loving.” Come on out and see the artists’ personal interpretations of what summer means to them.
The performing artists for June Art Walk is Bag-End, an acoustic duo inspired by music from the 60s and 70s.
Also visit our upstairs Studio Annex where you can see works by artists Joyce Stratton, Susan Cheatham, Belinda Scheber and Heide Lock.
