15th Annual Fundraiser to Fight Hunger and Support the Arts
Craven Arts Council & Gallery and Religious Community Services are proud to present the Empty Bowls Main Event, from 11 am to 1pm on February 21, 2025 at Temple Church in New Bern, North Carolina. This annual event raises money to fight hunger and support the arts in Craven County, supporting two local nonprofits, CAC&G and Religious Community Services.
Beginning at 11 am, Empty Bowls will take place at Temple Church in New Bern, North Carolina, where attendees will be able to enjoy an afternoon of lunch with over twenty choices of soup, quilted items, wood crafts, and handmade pottery by local artists. Returning for its fifteenth year in Craven County, Empty Bowls is a great opportunity to support two local nonprofits, communities, and fundraising.
Jon Burger, Executive Director of Craven Arts Council says, “Empty Bowls is an important event because it raises money for two great causes in our community: food insecurity and community arts. All of the money raised stays in the community, which has a direct, positive impact on New Bern.”
Empty Bowls tickets are $30 each, including a handcrafted bowl and two choices of soup, or $5 coupon to a participating local restaurant. Tickets are available at emptybowlsnewbern.org, over the phone at 252.638.2577 and in person at the Bank of the Arts, Mitchell’s Hardware, and at Fuller’s Music. Empty Bowls is organized by the Empty Bowls New Bern committee, and all proceeds from the event benefit Religious Community Services and Craven Arts Council.
